Important change to AGM 21.10.09
Thursday, October 15, 2009
There have been some important changes the AWNW AGM being held in Builth Wells next Wednesday the 21st of October. Unfortunately there has not been the expected take-up for this year’s event, and as a consequence it has been necessary to cancel the afternoon speakers who were to talk on the links between animal and interpersonal violence. The AGM will take place as planned in the morning, with general business, elections, the committee report etc. We then have a Local Authority and a Welsh Assembly Government offical who will speak about the Companion Animal Welfare Enhancement Scheme. There will then be an opportunity for you to interact with the speakers on this issue. The event will therefore run from 9.30am till 12pm. Lunch will not be served. As the number of delegates is significantly lower than expected, we have also had to move the venue from the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show showgrounds to the Greyhound Hotel in the centre of Builth Wells: The Greyhound Hotel, Garth Road, Builth Wells, Powys LD2 3AR Ph: (01982) 553255 You can find a map here: http://thegreyhoundhotel.co.uk/location_tariff/ We are disappointed to have to take this step, but hope that you will still find this meeting valuable and engaging.
